The commercial has been a staple of advertising budgets since the dawn of the TV Age. The rise of the Digital Age has only expanded the opportunities for video to inform and persuade. But the essential goal of video advertising remains the same: to tell the most compelling story in the shortest amount of time possible.
From the dream vacation to life insurance; from a new phone to new toothpaste – purchases are a balance of reasoned decision making and emotional impulse. Video has the unique capability to engage both sides and satisfy our instinctive affinity for a great story.
Although the 30-second spot is a mainstay of broadcast advertising, the integration of digital has given rise to additional durations and approaches: lifestyle films, mini-documentaries, product comparisons, testimonials, infomercials, episodic spots, embedded banner ad video, social media, user-generated content and YouTube pre-roll among them.
Beyond broadcast, commercials can effectively live forever on sites like YouTube. Think of virtually any memorable commercial you’ve seen in the past 10-15 years. There’s a good chance you can find it online. No other form of advertising offers the same type of productive shelf life.
In 2020, 2.38 billion people will watch streaming or downloaded video content via any device. Of that number, 78.4% will use their mobile phones to watch that content. More than any other medium, video affords a mobile-friendly way to deliver relevant information at the point of impulse.
Whether you’re looking for help creating a local or national TV spot, or for use on one or more online outlets, Larry Baglio will work with you every step of the way. We have extensive script-to-screen experience and the skill, crew and equipment for live capture, animation or a mix of both — resulting in a commercial that’s the right fit for both your goals and budget.
Events are an important intersection for any organization. Marketers, customers, prospects, partners, investors and media cross paths to teach and learn; to motivate and be inspired. Whether you’re putting on your own event or attending an industry trade show, there are many ways video can help you capitalize upon several unique opportunities to deliver and derive value.
A themed video can open your event with a healthy dose of energy. Whether used in pre-show marketing or to precede your opening speaker, video sets the mood for the entire event.
Trade show attendees spend their time wisely, deliberately navigating the show floor around over-zealous reps attempting to intercept them. A purpose-built video placed prominently along an aisle gives discerning attendees an easy way to decide if they’re ready to detour and engage.
Whether if you’re presenting a single keynote at an industry conference or conducting dozens of breakout sessions at your own user event, video gives you a great way to extend the shelf life of your content.
If customers or partners will be in attendance, there’s no better opportunity to capture video. Coordinate sit-down case study interviews or set up a man-on-the-street “testimonial station” and take advantage of having so many great people in one location.
Events require a lot of your bandwidth. Partnering with Larry Baglio is the easiest way to check the “video” box. Well in advance of the show, we’ll help you craft a cohesive creative approach to faithfully align with your overall event theme. We’ll seamlessly partner with your Events and A/V teams to put the right people in the right place at the right time.
If user or customer training is part of your plan, make sure to include video. As we all become more oriented to video for entertainment and communication, it follows that training also benefits from the inclusion of video. Particularly with the proliferation of mobile video viewership, training videos stand to reach audiences whenever and wherever they need instruction.
Research indicates that people will only remember 10% of what they hear three days later, but when paired with video, that number jumps to 65%.
YouTube is a popular destination for step-by-step How-To’s. Whether it’s building a deck, installing new software, or making the perfect martini, consumers regularly turn to video first for a shortcut to understanding. Make sure they find you.
Reach thousands in the time it takes to train one
Regardless of the goal, video lets you scale your training efforts easily:
Larry Baglio has produced many training videos and has partners with specific experience in Instructional Design principles. From onboarding new hires to creating shareable How-To’s for your customers, and everything in between, video training is an efficient way to transfer knowledge in entertaining, memorable and effective ways.
Getting a face-to-face sales meeting involves overcoming a lot of obstacles: inescapable Caller ID, stubborn gatekeepers and prohibitive travel schedules among them. Purpose-built video can do some of the groundwork for you—affording prospects a convenient way to “meet” your company wherever and whenever they have time and inclination—helping warm up your cold calls.
Marketers routinely use short- and long-form video as a vital part of inbound and outbound campaigns. This makes sense when you consider that 52% of marketing professionals worldwide name video as the type of content with the best ROI.*
Deliver your best elevator pitch, even without the elevator. Video lets you deliver impactful overviews in a precise, predictable duration – each and every time.
Offering video helps you provide better-qualified leads to your sales team. When paired with the right monitoring software, you can analyze video viewership to know which videos (and which portions of which videos) are being watched by whom and when.
Relevance at every stop along the buyer’s journey
The limitless techniques and types of subject matter make video effective from top-of-funnel awareness to final evaluation.
Larry Baglio can help you produce a video to give potential new customers a compelling way to learn more about your offering. We’ll take you from script to screen in the most purposeful and painless manner. We can then offer insight into the way your video is being shared and consumed—giving your sales team the additional intelligence they need to succeed.
Every company or organization begins with a goal, a mission, a calling. While those mantras resound clearly during the formative days, too often they get diminished or disregarded in the churn of everyday operations. Corporate films are a way to capture the emotional essence of those enduring messages in order to rally a variety of audiences to your vision.
An organizational brand is a blend of the tangible and the abstract. It expresses not only what you do, but why and how you do it. A brand anthem video lets you consistently and emotionally deliver core points of distinction.
Beyond salary and benefits, potential recruits want a sense of your corporate culture. Video affords them this view via facility tours, employee interviews, program overviews and more.
Investors fund visions. They want to understand what makes an offering different. How viable the business model is. Who the leadership is. All of this is perfectly suited for an investor video.
Whether sharing your brand vision, attracting new hires, communicating with investors–or about a hundred other uses–video is often the most efficient and impactful means of transmitting information. Larry Baglio can not only help you translate your story into a relevant creative vision, but also deliver the high production value that conveys credibility, stability and quality.
